THE ARTISTS OF MISSION ELEMENTARY
5TH GRADE CLASS OF 2013

The Young Artists from Mission Elementary arrived with shining eyes and smiles which lit up the Day. As they gathered around the large Bronze sculpture by James Hubbell in the Courtyard of the Museum, they touched this wondrous work with the delight that we know only comes from Children with eyes wide open with anticipation.

The touch and feel of the Bronze was a new experience for them, and they had the same response of finding “Art” inside at the exhibition.

The materials they used for their own works of sculpture inside the Museum were Pipe stem cleansers, Aluminum foil, Styrofoam, and glass beads.

Their work speaks wonders of their happy accomplishments for this Day, and we hope that when they are in their school and at home they will be inspired  by the great works they did today…
